Tribalytic tracks, stores and analyses Tweets from Twitter. We crawl Twitter to find Australian Twitter users and index these accounts in our database. If you are an active Australian Twitter user, we may well be indexing your information.
We do not store or track information from Twitter accounts marked as private, however if you've had a public Twitter account and recently switched it to private we may be storing your previously public information until the next time we refresh your account.
When you mark your account as private on Twitter, we automatically delete any information we may hold about you in Tribalytic when we next refresh your account (contact Twitter for your updated Tweets). Most accounts are refreshed within a day, if you have not tweeted for over a month it may take as long as 7 days for us to refresh your account and respect this new privacy setting.
When subscribing to Twitter, you agreed to the Twitter privacy policy which makes explicit that any information you share with Twitters default public settings may be broadly disseminated.
You should be aware that information from Twitter public accounts is stored and reused in a very large number of tools (e.g. major search engines, Twitter clients and any number of monitoring tools). We recommend that if this concerns you, please set your privacy settings in Twitter.
If you have recently set your privacy settings and need your information deleted urgently (ie. it's not OK to just wait up to a week for this to happen automatically), we are happy to remove your information immediately. Just let us know your Twitter screen name and that you'd like us to remove any data from your now private Twitter account by emailing contact@binaryplex.com. We will make sure you're removed and confirm this to you via email.
If you have any privacy concerns or questions, simply contact us at contact@binaryplex.com and we will happily disclose any information that we may have about you. We're sure you'll be impressed with how little it really is!
